Lineage II SEA Details
Philippine game publisher AsianMedia releases more details on their upcoming Lineage II Southeast Asian service:
- The monthly subscription fee for Lineage II in Southeast Asia will be lower than $15, payable via prepaid card.
- The Lineage II Southeast Asian service is set to launch in July, simultaneously in the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia.
- AsianMedia will pump another few million dollars into Lineage II servers dedicated to all three countries.
- AsianMedia seeks Malaysian distributors for Lineage II.
Good to know gamers across Southeast Asia will now be playing two top-tier MMORPGs from Philippine publishers, the other being Mobius’ EVE Online.

Hi there, I’m a Singaporean, and I played L2 from open-beta prelude till somewhere between C2/C3. A quick question, will L2SEA have its own, separate servers from the North American ones? If so, what happens to those accounts like mine which were created for the NA servers, but whose owners come from SEA? I mean, if I see the game picking up in popularity locally, I might want to return, but on the SEA servers instead. Would a service be offered to allowed transfer of old accounts like mine?
NCsoft, just like Blizzard, do not allow migration of accounts from one server to another. The reason mainly is economic stability and fairness. Migration done by other online games, example Mu Online Philippines, only showed how bad the migration idea is, to the point that the game can actually fail because of it.
It is also to the gamer’s advantage that everyone start anew, making the game fairer for all and the economy balance. Last but not the least, the SEA Lineage 2 server will get the Korean version translated into English, which is better and full-featured than the US version.

Good day, I have a account with PlayNC which manages my L2 account, Question: Will I need to repurchase the game again or my current account with PlayNC will allow me to transfer to SEA side?
the game installer will be distributed for free, there is no information yet if they will allow account migration, but knowing NCsoft as the company that Blizzard copied, I doubt they will allow account migration.
regardless, the game will be very cheap and with a free installer, in my view it is more than enough to reroll, dont you think?
That is what I meant when I said transfer of old account, I didn’t mean transfer of old characters as that is clearly unbalanced (imagine running a level 60 Swordsinger when everybody just started at level 1).
I think those like me will have to make a new account since it looks like we won’t be registering our CD keys through PlayNC…
Yes, there is no need to buy another box as the southeast asian server will not require it. Are you from where? Singaporeans and Malaysians are highly waiting this game, the Filipinos are almost ignoring this game which happens to be the undisputed #1 MMOG in Korea.
There is a active private server in singapore you need to shut tat illegal server before launching i guess… do drop me a mail i give more detail… hate those private server….
will this new server 100% bot free ?
@Anonymous
u said “Filipinos are almost ignoring this game” i disagree most of us here is excited to play this game knowing that they will start it in interlude
and most of my friends who are playing L2 private server already quit, their reason…it would be much more cool to play w/ pinoys and other asian peps
I really hope that Asianmedia will do some advertising in singapore, most people don’t even know the game is coming to SEA. I heard that the game will launch in July, but won’t it be a bit late to promote it only after the launch? Right now there is another MMORPG that is showing tv advertisments and a official website with forum for people to ask questions. I had been to Asianmedia website and was fairly disappointed that their latest announcement was only obtaining the license from korea and thats it, no forum, no lineage2SEA website. Quite bad on the promotion/Sale department if they really want to make it a hit in SEA.
@Anonymous
yeah ur right dude been checking the AMDG website and still no update about the coming CBT for L2, not even a official website yet. but some how i manage to email them and they might start making commercial 2nd week of june together w/ the close beta test

wat is that? priv server?
hello, im a filipino and an avid fan of lineage2 ever since its open beta, i played korean and taiwanese open beta before, and lotsa private servers including l2extreme. NCsoft knows about extreme server. anyways, i left those lame private servers coz of massive donations , it makes the game imbalance, i just wanna know the Estimated time of launching ;p, and i also wanna know if its Bot free!!!
I’m giving away closed beta invitations. Click here to get yours!
i think its better if all players in l2 SEA will play in 1 server only. i hope AMDG will invite more country in SEA.
I wonder if there will be the bot problem like in NA servers. I see already that one site: http://www.l2code.com seems like it is getting ready to sell bot codes.
This is going to be crazy.
can someone post the L2 login server ip? and login server port?? pls?? bec its my problem with L2…
its lineage philippines
im a filipino and i always love to play online games… a month ago i came here in middle east. i just want to ask if i can still play in the server runing right now.
there is already a bot for L2 SEA. even if the packets and necryptions for L2 SEA is much different from the L2 International, some people have already produced their own private bots. you’ll know them from their high levels in short time and non-stop farming and they don’t respond in singaporean or malay or filipino
