When it comes to Filipino geekery, Mimay, we all know who the most relevant endorsers are.
Apparently, Jag didn’t get the memo. With markets growing more fragmented than ever, mainstream celebrities aren’t always the best endorsers for your product. 😉
Even Freego’s next event authentically reflects geek culture. Geek events often use the suffix “-Con” — ToyCon, Comic-Con, et cetera.
Freego’s next event is called DenimCon. Of course, Alodia and Ashley get top billing. If executed correctly, this event could position Freshgear as a leading brand in the minds of influential denim geeks. Yes, they do exist.
This goes far deeper than superficially copying a geek girl’s photo, don’t you think? 😉

Mike, a marketer has to consider which audience to gun for right? So I can assume that Jag wasn’t targeting geeks. You just happen to see something that caught your self-proclaimed geek eyes and consider it an angle to market Alodia more. In Jeans’ case, they market the average reasonable person, aka people who have higher IQs than most Alodia knights.
2ndly, when you say perfectly poised, did you mean amateur gun-wielding chick? You don’t hold the gun 5 inches from your face whether you’re under fire or not- this prompts you to extend your hand when you aim- thus taking time. Wouldn’t want that to happen unless you want some zombie chewing on your face.
I respect the Gosiengfao sisters, btw. It’s the marketing that’s corrupted their art.
