Google: Ten Years of a New World

Google 10th Anniversary

No single company in the last decade has changed the world more than Google has. In 1998, we saw the world only through the limits of information hierarchies. We saw only what those hierarchies allowed us to see. We created only what those hierarchies allowed others to find.

Today, our horizons are limited only by our search keywords. Name it, and you will find it. Create it, and someone will see it.

This is the new world Google has unleashed in the last decade: a world where people and ideas connect, not through pilgrimage or privilege, but through the power of the written word. This is why we should all wish Google a happy tenth anniversary.
