BAAAAWWWW cry me a river die-hard-kapuso. If you really knew WALANG KWENTA ANG RATINGS!! Kahit anong isubo ng GMA7 kakaiin din nyo. Simple as that sa mga brainwashed lamang kayo. Its criticized to begin with kasi binali wala talaga Space Sherriff franchise. Pinagbigyan na sila ng opportunity para gawin HOMAGE ito sa mga fans at binaboy lamang nila with their horrid adaptation.

You’ll see the same difference in any franchise in different countries. This is done to ensure marketability. You have to understand your audience to suceed.”
But first we’re talking about television based franchises being shipped over to different countries. And so far the successful ones that DID ACTUALLY never tampered to much with the main story and the adaptation did the original JUSTICE. A ‘homage’ if you will. Look at The Office or even Ugly Betty. They took the general concept, adapted it a bit to the audience. And if they did redo it, they at least make it into some silly stupid ripoff that could work. I know people love ‘Death Note’ but I hear about this TV movie coming in Canada called ‘Devil’s Diary’? LULZ!
The power rangers storyline isn’t really much but I’ve read TimeForce is the most serious and hence the more enjoyable, and the characters are more dynamic than the stereotypical members. Plus the american versions don’t tamper too much with the overall story, unless they know it won’t go over (Like Mystic Force). See if the creative force actually took care of little details (as the sci-fi aspect as told by flamerounin) then it would make Zaido seem more legit. The problem is GMA7 thought they got a handle on sci-fi after having handled pantaseryas and teleseryas, and that Toku shows were no different. That kind of ignorance WILL lead to a horrible product, even if attempt to nationalize it would sway the locals to get behind it. Because then its nothing more than a mindless RATINGS PISSING battle where kapuso’s brag about how high their theirs are.

Honestly, Time Force is my all-time favorite Power Rangers show. It’s not only the most serious and hence the more enjoyable due to to its mature content and darker tone, it has strong parallelisms to Timeranger (its Sentai counterpart), making it the second best Power Rangers show and the best Saban adaptation ever. Every toku fan should watch it. Tiyak na magugustuhan niyo iyon. And oh, Wild Force is awesome because they used Gaoranger’s storyline.
Verdict: It SUCKS!!!
