Ah so you’re premise is that to be true to the original it is ok to sacrifice creativity and we should be afraid to explore or to ensure that a property is marketable? Because if this is true, then your argument is not with me but with the people who gave the franchise to GMA.
Speaking of franchising, buy a copy of your favorite Filipino magazines, let’s say Cosmo or FHM, you’d find a marked difference between the American/European version and the Filipino one. You’ll see the same difference in any franchise in different countries. This is done to ensure marketability. You have to understand your audience to suceed.
As to your reference to “kids”, if we follow your conservative premise, then Darna shouldn’t have been popular with Kids, nor would have Mulawin, Engkantadia or even Captain Barbel.
I would like to seek the apology of everyone who lacked the creative thinking to realize that “new series” did not refer to “fourth in a series” and assumed that it had nothing to do with the original Shaider.

Again, you need to establish a basis of comparison else your premise is flawed.

While I don’t agree with some of your comments, you’re right about the lack of sci-fi tech detail which the Japanese love to spout ad nauseum. GMA should at least bring that back in.
