But can I also call ya a hypocrite? Ur the one who doesn’t know what tokusatsu is. Kahit may panglalait naman, we can never deny or escape the truth: Shaider will suck big time unless hindi nila pagagandahin nito. Dominic Zapata is a sham.
and ya know, although mababa ang ratings ng Rounin and called a Star Wars rip-off, it proves that Erik Matti is born to direct a Toku show. If u watch Gagamboy, it gained international fame b’coz it serves as a parody of tokusatsu and superhero genres.
It most of the time deemed necessary to keep your cool in receiving obnoxious remarks out from your post to uplift our tv/movie industry. Others never seemed to understand this very purpose of firing torpedos to destroy mediocrity and biting up the bitterness to taste the glory of improvement. Others just devour what these two big companies are offering (without any bias in particular), and be contented on it’s primitive and/or stagnant state. And what’s my point? Well, too bad… if we keep this momentum, we can never catch up! And poor Filipinos… we just remain avid fans of the Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Transformers and the now emerging witty imported (original and pirated) Asian movies most specially from China (See the effects of the movie Kung Fu Hustle) and some Thailand’s elegant films. And Props… please, refrain from quoting me with a nonsense purpose or without any purpose of enlightenment at all! Don’t be like crab…just a friendly advice. And please try to read the story of an Eagle who was brought up by a family of Chicken, did chicken stuffs althroughout his life and died never knowing he was an Eagle. And to Alvin, we share the same sentiments… thanks for responding as if in my behalf. =).

To tell ya the truth, I don’t GMA when it comes to primetime shows because they’re right now made stupid shows for a wide yet a stupid audience. If they want to make a remake, they have to make a justice for it. Nang ang Saban (hindi pa Disney) ang humahawak ng Power Rangers franchise, they’re always doing their best to honor the original Super Sentai franchise (from MMPR to Wild Force). Nang ipinalabas ang Power Rangers Time Force (PR counterpart of Timeranger), they are applauded by many toku fans b’coz Time Force has a darker theme, has a mature content, and has similarities w/ the original. When Disney bought Saban in 2002, then all went downhill.
Want a tokusatsu show for mature audiences? My answer: GARO.

Pulis Pangkalawakan (Descendants of Shaider) is an upcoming fantasy Philippine drama of GMA Network, it is a Philippine TV version of the famous Metal Hero. The network acquired exclusive rights to remake the Japanese TV series[1]. As of July 11, 2007, GMA will not be remaking Shaider due to to the owner of rights of the show not allowing a local version to be made in the Philippines, but will instead put out a show inspired by Shaider titled Pangkat Pangkalawakan[2].
