WordPress Creator: Blogging Isn’t Slowing Down

I hear a lot of talk on Twitter and Plurk about how microblogging is killing blogging. Matt Mullenweg, creator of the WordPress blogging platform, disagrees. He says blogging is not slowing down.

Matt also runs the company behind WordPress, Automattic, so he’s got some data to back up his claim. WordPress is, after all, the most popular self-hosted blogging platform among top blogs.

How about you? Are you seeing less blogging, or just more microblogging to go with it?
