YouTube Video Processing Slowdown

Tags: |

Any of you guys notice that YouTube’s been really slow to process new videos lately? I like bringing you the hottest, freshest stuff, so this delay definitely annoys me.

I’ve heard speculation among YouTubers that the slowdown is due to new copyright filters kicking in. If YouTube’s DRM is going to be this obtrusive to legitimate users, they’re in serious trouble. The competition is just waiting to give users a better experience.

While waiting for the hottest, freshest stuff on YouTube, enjoy this video of Alodia doing the Caramel Dance. It’s keeping me from getting totally pissed at YouTube right now.

I agree… it takes more than an hour to process a short clip, even if you’ve sized and saved correctly.

seriously its getting rediculous i keep finding that videos are no longer available due to copyright

  3. Rediculous doesn’t come close to the three days i’ve wasted trying to upload fresh footage to youtube, surely such a huge organisation can sort this out?
I’m looking at alternatives to youtube, any suggestions welcome 🙂
