Forrester Segments Netizens by Participation

Forrester released a report this week stratifying the US adult online consumer population by participation. Interestingly enough, at least 25% of online Filipinos (five million Filipino Friendsters out of twenty million Filipino Netizens) are “Joiners”, compared to just 19% of Americans.

So where are you on the ladder?

Personally, I feel that pinoys have a misconception of “friendster power”. The more friends and testimonials you have, the more “power-user” you become. I just hate it when people just add complete strangers to their friend lists… sigh. One more thing, personalized friendster sites with a million video windows are bandwith hogs especially in Internet Cafes hehe. Oh well, at least we pinoys are out there.

Don’t get me wrong, Mon. I hate Friendster too.
