Gundam 00 Episode 13: Where is Your God?
Until now, each arc of Gundam 00 was set up so well in the beginning that the resolution came as a bit of a letdown. This is the exception. From an information leak to a hometown hunch to an unarmed Gundam, well-timed gambits kept up the tension in Gundam 00 episode 13, even after the great setup in episode 12. Dig Lockon sniping without Dynames, Hong Long going Kato, Saji attracting Louise’s mom, and Setsuna showing us why Exia carries so many damn swords.
Oh, and you’ve got to love any big robot fight in which the hero taunts, “Where is your God?” Kinda like the Burger King.

Gundam 00 Episode 12: Lockon Versus Graham!
It’s like watching a fight between Han Solo and Char Aznable. Lockon Stratos and Graham Acre duel to a Mexican standoff in Gundam 00 episode 12. Throw in a PTSD-fueled rampage by Setsuna against a jihadist coup d’etat, and you get an episode that perfectly exemplifies Gundam 00’s unique style of stylish-yet-gritty war drama.
No surprise, then, that this is the highest-rated episode of the series so far. This much awesomeness should tide us over until the next episode on January 5.
