Keyboard Fight!

Two men enter, no keyboards leave. At a tech fight club in Silicon Valley, computer geeks bash each other with keyboards until no key remains attached. This is what happens when people stop bashing each other online with their keyboards, and start bashing each other offline with their keyboards.

For sheer heft and sturdiness, I prefer my big old reliable IBM Rapid Access II keyboard. I’ve smashed my fist into it many times over the last seven years, and for all that abuse it shows just one shallow crack on the wrist rest. Its heavy top corners could do some real damage in a keyboard fight. The detachable wrist rest itself handles like a machete. How would your keyboard stack up in a fight?

This is one contest where pretty little Mac hardware would definitely face a disadvantage. Only one thing remains unclear: if fights continue until all keys are detached, what happens if someone brings a roll-up keyboard?
