GMA to Destroy Shaider
Philippine TV network GMA is about to make their own version of the tokusatsu classic Shaider. The genius director they’ve chosen for the job? Dominic Zapata, the same guy who ripped off Sailormoon and denied it. The show will replace GMA’s short-lived Indiana Jones/Lara Croft double ripoff Asian Treasures. hehe salamat sa resbak…. ehrmmm. kau muna lalaru lng ako SRW okie. chaka annie mag-usap tau kaibigan!
Sharivan, i think hindi cla papayag sa welga sa mendiola… takot na eh…hihihihihihi
Dominic Zapata should be called the “Bruce Kalish of the Philippines”. For those who don’t know, Bruce Kalish is the producer for Disney’s Power Rangers (S.P.D., Mystic Force, Operation Overdrive). Both Zapata and Kalish think that Tokus are for kids and both of them aren’t really a toku fan at heart…
THEY’RE SUXORS!!!!!
“Migrane Girl said,
Alvin napaka sensitive mo naman..yah pinapalabas nga sa Japan ang Zaido, May positive feedback naman ang mga hapon and sabi nila its not that totally bad we are in the door to stardom pagdating sa graphics medyo nanibago sila dhil parang drama series unlike na per episode almost lahat ng palabas sa japan , sabi ng ate kona naka base sa Tokyo.”
Ok, pero to tell ya, Kamen Rider is right: Hindi sinunod ng GMA ang pamantayan ng isang TOKU. Telenovela-toku to say dahil kabaligtaran ang ginagawa nila, which it not right.
Talaga, may zaido dito sa Japan! Ano pong channel? Onegaishimasu. Interested lang po ako marinig ang japanese dub. Though I watched some episodes in youtube. Well, for me, totally disappointing specially for a big toku fan like me! Naging ma-drama eh. Na parang naging encantadia! Encantadia is great, I followed it faithfully, but to integrate such style in Shaider! What ah crap!…I watched Lastikman in youtube which seems to be the competition of Zaido there and for me, it is way, way better. It’s a classic Filipino super hero, part of Philippine culture and I love the kid who portrayed young lastikman. Watching it makes me miss the Philippines most.
