it would be highly unlikely that they’d come up with something original in the storyline that would make it compelling to watch considering their previous shows. Creativity is dead in the water.
On the way na ang Zaido, eh and Maskman D Philippines ng ABS CBN2 sa 1st quarter ng 2008!!!! Gosh tumitindi ang competition sabagay marami naman tlga ang fans ng sentai sa pinas. From what i heard from the ABSCBN2 insider…on the process na ang talks between ABSCBN2 at Toei Company Ltd. for the possible remake if not to do a sequel for Maskman kaya tinawag na Maskman D ( a tentative title)

actually, a friend of mine has already observed a disturbing fall of creativity in GMA’ s fantasy soaps. for example all of them have the same story of a child looking for his parents and lost identity. many would say, what the heck, isn’t the same old story of all pinoy soaps? that’s true. however in GMA’s case there is no innovation in the use of the storyline. if u look closely all their soaps folloe this story plot and nothing else is changed.
1. lead doesnt know he’s adopted, which the audience doesnt know (or have aready known i expectedly).
2. He meets his real parants, which he doesnt know, midseries.
3. contrabida knows about bida’s true identity.
4.bida’s identity revealed near the end, usually in a big bang cinematic manner.
not to sound pro-ABS, but i have already seen them put innovations to this concept. Here’s some of what ive observed.
1. in some series they establish the fact that the lead is adopted in the pilot episode.
2. concept is applied not to lead (which is what the audience expect) but to second lead or to some other major character.
3. concept is not the central plot of the story. on some cases it is made into a minor story element.
4. in a few series that they did, the concept is altogether removed.
also, another thing i observed about GMA is that they tend to abuse and overuse a concept that is currently the media fad. thus if u havent noticed yet, except for 1 or two shows, all their soaps are remakes of films and older series. and this where we get into zaido. u see it seems that their current trend is getting foreign shows and remaking it. what ya think guys, have the same observations?

nakita ko rin yan at ang sabi rin ng mga friends ko eh nauuta na sila sa ganyang storyline…. dti kc mga kaibigan, die kapuso ako, nung pumasok ako ng college eh wala na akong tym pra manood ng tv kya unti-unti na rin nagdetiriorate ang aking pagiging kapuso… nung nakapanood na nga ako uli ng tv, napapangitan na ako sa mga palabas nila. bkit? kc hindi na sila kasing creative nung dati. 2001-2005 ata cla nagig magaling. now, ang papangit na ng gawa nila. 4 example, mata ni anghelita, drama-fantasy na sobrang low ng storyline. sugo, was definitely the most disappointing show i saw on philippine tv kasi bukod sa sobrang babaw ng kwento ay ang special effects eh sobrang down.
sa kapamilya show, napansin ko na halos pareho sila ng gma sa isang bagay, may mga remake silang ginawa. kung special effects ang paguusapan, parang nakadepende sa show at audience ang ganda ng gagawin nilang special effects. example, kokey. ang pangit ng costume, especially kokey kc mukha siyang sunog na squidball na nilagayan ng mata, spaceship frm ep1 na halatang karton. kahit pambata sana ginandahan nila. pero i think bumawi cla sa lastikman kc i saw the trailer and for a guy like me na sobrang arte pagdating sa mga special effects, that blew me away! impresive, costume and set design, 3D CGI rendering is very good, and the way vhong navarro looks in his costume, wow!
well, sana nga lng ay magkamali pa rin ako sa hinala kong pangit ang Zaido, i’m still hoping, kc not only it would be a disgrace to philippine TV but also it would be a disgrace for the filipino creativity and artistry. i know what im saying because i am a tokusatsu fan and a fine arts student. susmaria santisima! sana maganda ang kalabasan nito. yung ang hiling ko…

tama po kau sa cnabi niyo. ang blita ko noon kaya daw maganda ang set at costume ng encantandia ay dahil mga artist daw ang mga nagdisenyo ng nito. ewan ko ba kung bkit ang dali-dali lng maghire ng artist eh mayaman naman cla di ba? bkit ayaw nilang gawin un chaka talaga bang bulag sila na ang tao eh utang-uta na sa kanilang mga palabas? susmeh!
