“The costume is similar, so what? Big frigging deal. There are so many other local shows that are influenced by globalization, why not write about that.”

Similar? I don’t know what you have for eyes but its CLOSE to CARBON COPY! Theres a difference from duplication to a homage. If Zapata was trying to make a homage, then HE UTTERLY failed.
And oh yeah, you failed to defend the point GMA PR machine. I bet others can do a better job but would GMA want to give them the credit? Being number #1 in ratings when there is one OTHER competition isn’t a huge deal. Keep swimming in your sea of ego there.

But what the heck, many shows are often inspired by “insert tv/movie/anime/book here”

True and I’ve seen quite a bit in my short lifetime. However I always like to see how its well executed or at least have a SHRED of novelty. I don’t have to play the ‘Obvious’ card there.

Point is we’d actually like to see something novel in our copped out/inspired shows. Its obvious GMA’s ideas can win over the Filipino audience, which I think in general has gaudy taste. The global audience wouldn’t care or wouldn’t want to inquire because its crap.

I dunno why super hero shows in Philippine tv are a “fad” nowadays, it’s just plain childish I wonder why even grown ups enjoy them.
    Especially this unoriginal show.
I feel disgraced for Filipino televisions.
