I have a dilemma I received today an email from “abs-cbn security” that they were suing youtube and I for copyright infrigement. I have been watching Maging Sino Ka Man via karla193 and seanfelipe. Well, Karla193 account or IP was banned but through the grapevine she established another one via lab139, so I shared it with fellow cyberpinoys even to the point that I put it under my favorites for others to view. My question is can abs-cbn really sue me and the fact that I’m all the way in Atlanta, GA. Lastly, I got so spooked by their email that I closed my account. Need some advice..

First off “YOU ARE NOT LIABLE, in this case” they can’t sue you for posting it in your favorites and watching & prolly even embedding it to a website. Anyway, don’t close down/delete your account. They may sue you, but you can counter sue after they lost, like I said you are not liable. Btw, try to find out the validity of that email you recieved.
Thanks for the feedback! Okay, so I got spooked because of all this media fiasco about Viacom suing YouTube. I should definitely not be alarmed and Jerry I did not save that email from abs-cbn. Sadly, I closed my account but I will open another one. I think they’re bluffing when they said they will block my IP address. I mean there’s still others who’s still uploading MSKM so I’m pathetic for being freaked out. I even called the PI to ask my aunt who’s a lawyer but couldn’t get a hold of her cause she was at a hearing. I just want to know if anyone out there received the same email from “abs-cbn security”……if so please share your frustrations!
gusto ko lang magtanong kung may bayad ang pagpunta ng pamilya ko itong june 12 para manood ng wowowee nabanggit ng misis ko na may bayad ng 120.00 pesos per head nagpabook sila.medyo nabigla lang ako bilang TFC subscriber wala naman nababanggit si willy na may bayad sa pagpasok sa abs cbn. pasensiya na kung dito ko pinadala dahil wala di ko makita ang space kung saan maginquire.god bless.pls reply.
