Nvidia Powers $99 HD Mobile Internet Device

Nvidia is best known for GeForce, a series of powerful 3D graphics chips beloved by hardcore gamers. That’s why they surprised everyone at the Mobile World Congress by announcing that their combined CPU/GPU chip will power a $99 HD mobile Internet device. The Nvidia Tegra processor will enable a gadget capable of 720p and 1080p playback and 3G/WiFi connectivity, in a package bigger than a smartphone but smaller than a netbook.
