Anti-Zaido Placards

Not everything at the Hanep Hataw Hero 3 anime convention was girls and Gundams. Tokusatsu fans came out to protest GMA’s Shaider ripoff Zaido. Check out their placards here.

Alodia at Herocon

One of the crowd draws at the Hanep Hataw Hero 3 anime convention was the appearance of Filipina gamer Alodia Gosiengfiao and friends. They sold signed prints of their photoportraits as a fundraiser for their Freelance Art Society.

I particularly like this shot of Alodia at the Wasabi Toys booth. Girls and Gundams, what more could you ask for?

What’s really interesting here is that these girls sold a lot of prints even though most of their photoportraits are freely available online. That’s what Hugh MacLeod does with his cartoons. Alodia and her friends are proving and learning that, when it comes to digital goods, abundance leads to value.
