Happy Slip Signed My DVD!

I’m so glad I bought Christine “Happy Slip” Gambito’s DVD. Besides being loaded with extras, it’s also something cool to autograph.
I love how Christine recalls what I write about her. She even recounted how I showed her DVD to my parents on Christmas Eve — a tale I told on another blog.
That’s the kind of genuine warmth and attentiveness she displayed when she met with Filipino bloggers yesterday — even waving to them as her bus drove away. The Internet has no fourth wall; meaningful interaction with your audience is key to continued online stardom. Not only does Christine have the talent to be an online star, she has the heart to stay an online star.
Alodia Doll Auctioning for $200+

Something very strange is happening on Filipina gamer Alodia Gosiengfiao’s blog. She made a cutesy little doll of herself, and now she’s auctioning it off. Starting bid: $12.35. Current bid: $247.68. Note that this isn’t even an eBay auction.
When games outpace movies and music, it pays to be a gamer babe. I shudder to think what a Shocotan doll would fetch on auction.
