Avon’s new Derma-Full serum looks eerily similar to something out of Resident Evil’s Umbrella Corporation. Alodia Judges Anime Makeup Contest

Anime and cosplay have hit the mainstream so hard in the Philippines that even local makeup artists are getting in on the act. The Philippine International Cosmetologists Association (PICA) is holding a hair and makeup competition today, and one of their categories involves composing an “anime look”.

PICA President Fanny Serrano taps a real anime fan to judge for that category: Filipina cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao. He even asked her to blog about it. Smart move on both counts.
