Alodia Turns Down Maxim

Alodia Gosiengfiao

Filipina gamer-blogger-cosplayer babe Alodia Gosiengfiao just turned down an offer to pose for an article in Maxim Philippines.

This is not the first time she’s snubbed the mainstream media. Previously, she rebuffed a TV offer from Maxim Philippines’ parent company ABS-CBN, an offer later taken by her friend and fellow cosplayer Dianne Lopez (Update, January 26: ABS-CBN’s Eric Ang Go, who hired Dianne, just sent me an SMS. He claims to not know Alodia.).

She was right to turn down the article. She deserves no less than the cover.

Update, January 26: Dianne just took Maxim’s offer.

Philippine Blog Party Makes Technorati Top Ten

Blogparteeh07 on Technorati

More proof Filipinos are taking over the blogosphere: the tag for the Philippine blog party this Saturday, blogparteeh07, is now the #7 top search on Technorati. It’s the #11 tag, too.

Note that the party hasn’t even happened yet. Imagine what’ll happen once the attendees, bloggers all, start tagging and sharing their photos, videos, and reports. Any flamers brave enough to fight me at the party will win a ton of social media mileage.

This is the power of a unique event tag: buzz marketing and monitoring. Thanks to Shari for the heads-up.
