Ask a Ninja Seals $300K Ad Deal

Ninja marketing continues to pay off. Comedy video podcast Ask a Ninja just signed a $300,000 ad deal with Federated Media.

Kent Nichols, Douglas Sarine, and the Ninja have announced that they’ve signed a major ad deal.

“We have signed with Federated Media to handle all of our advertising,” they note. “We’re really excited to be working with John Battelle and the crew over there. They’ve got a great track record and really seem to be author friendly. Most importantly we will still be able to advertise in a way that doesn’t interfere with our show.”

While they don’t mention numbers, others are reporting the deal to be worth $300k upfront, plus 60% of revenue.

Wonder how much money the Ninja will make from YouTube’s upcoming ad platform.

MacLeod: Delete Anonymous Troll Comments

My anonymous trolls are lucky I let them comment on my blog. Hugh MacLeod says I shouldn’t.

When the shit hits the fan, don’t let anonymous trolls HAVE ANY CONTROL WHATSOEVER over the conversation.

They have nothing to lose, trying to tear you a new one. Nor will they stand accountable for their actions.

Without accountable identity, you owe them nothing. So use that delete button with impunity, I say.

Maybe if the trolls had more well-paid jobs they didn’t hate or god forbid, good-looking women actually wanting to sleep with them, we’d see less of their kind. But I guess that’s unrealistic.

Let me make this clear to all my anonymous trolls: I allow your flaming comments here only because your stupidity amuses my intelligent readers. Otherwise, I am not obligated to let anonymous comments stand.
