MPAA and AACS Steal from God

Ed Felten writes a brilliant post on why, aside from the obvious legal reasons, the movie industry’s threat to make a certain string of 16 hexadecimal numbers “unspeakable” is just so fucking ridiculous.

When the great mathematician Leopold Kronecker wrote his famous dictum, “God created the integers; all else is the work of man”, he meant that the basic structure of mathematics is part of the design of the universe. What God created, AACS LA now wants to take away.

God should sue. So should Kevin Rose.
