Ragnarok 2 Level Up Demo

I’m surprised Level Up didn’t publicize this more. They demonstrated Ragnarok Online 2 at their latest event. Brand manager Carlo Ople says it’ll be launched in the Philippines mid-2008.

Level Up Machinima Contest on YouTube

Unlike last year, Philippine game publisher Level Up now accepts entries for its annual machinima contest via YouTube. Smart move. Here’s one of the entries, from RF Online.

Next year, they might want to try YouTube’s contest system. I’d use a canonical event tag to folksonomically link this post to their upcoming event, but they haven’t set one yet.

Level Up Drops COO, Hires Blogger

Level Up

I’ve been hearing about so much bad stuff happening at Mobius, I almost missed all the good stuff happening at Level Up. Sheila Paul has resigned as COO, and Kevin Codamon is now their website’s editor-in-chief. Sheila was an offline advertising dinosaur who wasted Level Up’s money; Kevin is an online media maven who can fix Level Up’s lame site.

Congratulations to Level Up on losing a liability and gaining an asset. Level Up is one of the Philippines’ top online game publishers; they need less bullshit-spewers and more gamer-bloggers.
