Yahoo Seeks Philippine Online Community Manager. In Singapore.

I understand why Yahoo wants an online community manager for the Philippines. I don’t understand why they want that person based in Singapore. Google takes a far more logical approach: their Philippine country consultant Aileen Apolo is right here in the Philippines.
If you think you can help a fallen old Internet titan find its way here in the Philippines (from Singapore), go ahead and apply. Ex-Mobius President Jojo Anonuevo is already there; I’m sure he could use some backup from a fellow Filipino in the Singaporean office.

McDonald’s blogs from the top; hope McDonald’s Philippines can follow suit. Flashy marketing websites are visually fun to design, but they’re useless without real two-way communication.
