Jeremy Wright is a Coward

As a former top ten tech blogger for b5media, I cannot reveal the specifics of my dealings with b5media CEO Jeremy Wright. I can say, however, that it takes a true coward to punish your people for your own unpreparedness. That’s what Jeremy’s doing right now, cutting pay across b5media because he chose the wrong stat system.

The blogosphere is built on courage. Cowards have no place here. I am so glad I no longer have to deal with Jeremy Wright’s cowardice.

Automattic Buys Intense Debate: RIP Disqus?

Automattic Buys Intense DebateI knew there was a reason I held off on implementing the Disqus comment system on this WordPress blog, despite Disqus’ popularity. Turns out Automattic, the WordPress guys, just bought Disqus competitor Intense Debate.

At WordCamp Philippines, I asked WordPress creator Matt Mullenweg what would happen if Disqus threaded comments couldn’t be imported into the upcoming WordPress 2.7 threaded comments. He said I’d have to ask Disqus to fix it, not Automattic. Clearly, Intense Debate won’t have that problem. Read the rest of this entry »
