Alodia: Tech Blogger

She’s been blogging her cute cosplay pictures for years. Now she’s blogging about technology, too. Filipina otaku queen Alodia Gosiengfiao joins the writing team on Techie.com.ph, the tech blog of Philippine publisher Summit Media.

Longtime readers may recall that Alodia was supposed to blog for Philippine portal Yehey last year. Apparently, Yehey’s loss is Summit’s gain. Considering Alodia’s powerful influence upon Philippine geeks, tech companies targeting that market would do well to court her favor right now.

While tech blogging and geek culture blogging share obvious demographic crossovers, they still cover two different topics which require very different approaches. Up to this point, Alodia has blogged mostly about geek culture, making her similar in tone to Olivia Munn.

Now we’ll see if Alodia can pull a Veronica Belmont. Now we’ll see how well the Mac-loving, iPhone-toting cosplay princess can talk tech.
