I'm happy to see them become so popular. You can see an entire channel of them at http://www.youtube.com/booktrailers As far as distribution goes, "free" does not mean "effective". You can put the videos on YouTube and similar sites, but what about reader sites? Book clubs? Booksellers? Or even sites that are specific to a certain genre of book (horror sites, comedy sites, etc.)? If anyone can upload to free to all the same sites, what sets you apart from your competition? Will book trailers on YouTube sell a book? Which is more likely to sell more books? A book trailer on YouTube or a book trailer on BN.com? Just some food for thought.
