I use with a prepaid SIM without any load since if there's no wifi signal, it automatically switches to 3G. If I'm away from home and there's a wifi signal, I use it to scan my bookmarked websites including email. I note interesting items which I later view on my PC. Otherwise, as a standalone computer, its great: touch screen, google maps, GPS, bar code scanner, podcast scanner and other great apps.
