I knew there was a reason I held off on implementing the Disqus comment system on this WordPress blog, despite Disqus’ popularity. Turns out Automattic, the WordPress guys, just bought Disqus competitor Intense Debate. That would be really enjoyable, so I could finally know how people would react if I go Samuel L. Jackson on their smart-mouth heckler asses.
This is good news either way. Though I don’t know what threaded comments plugin authors think the same way about this news.
Probably the same way tag plugin authors thought about WordPress 2.3 adding tag support.
Plus, it would be a great C-C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!!!!! against multiple ABS/GMA fanboy rant, eh, Sir Mike? Kinda like a forced NO U against them with a dash of C-C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!!!!
We’ll just have to see what WordPress has put into the table with their new comment integration. If I’ll ever have my own blog, I wouldn’t know which to use, though.
