Alodia Friendster Layout

You know you’re famous when a fan turns you into a Friendster layout. That’s what one fan just did for Filipina gamer Alodia Gosiengfiao.

This is the advantage of cultivating a tech-savvy remix-happy fan base: spontaneous organic viral marketing. Witness the animated Alodia Caramel Dance. Next thing you know, some fan’s going to make an Alodia cosplay dress-up doll widget. Heck, for all we know, Yehey will make one.

I’m so happy yet envious of her. She enjoys her hobby and yet she earns both money and popularity because of that.

I just hope that the Digital Entertainment here in the philippines gets bigger so that we can see more of her kind (i.e. not really a good comparison, but somebody like ‘Fatality’ in the US DE world).
