Alodia Nabs Deal with Yehey
Filipina blogger Alodia Gosiengfiao just bagged a deal with Philippine portal Yehey. Yehey Business Development Officer Iggy Javellana has this to say about the deal:
“Well it’s about time we did something more substantial for up and coming bloggers. It’s not so much an endorsement as it is a joint venture, and we got some cool plans for the Gosiengfiao sisters.”
Iggy of course refers to Alodia’s younger sister Ashley. Iggy is himself a blogger, both personally and for CNet, so he knows how to spot online influencers in specific niches. Alodia is one such influencer for young Filipino geeks.
Previously, Yehey hosted a meet-and-greet with Filipina YouTube star Christine “Happy Slip” Gambito. Alodia herself is not new to deals with Philippine online media companies; she previously endorsed games from Mobius and Level Up. It’s about time Filipino online businesses started engaging Filipino online celebrities in meaningful ways.
