Klaudia Koronel’s OFW Social Network

Klaudia Koronel

As the Filipino online market matures, user-generated content is becoming a business option for savvy Filipina showbiz sexpots. Asia Agcaoili owns a video-sharing site, and now I find out Klaudia Koronel owns Mabuhay City, a social network for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

I guess it makes sense. Eight million Filipinos work abroad, and Klaudia studied computer science in college. Klaudia needs to differentiate Mabuhay City through new services especially useful to OFWs; just another “me-too” social network won’t cut it. If she wants developers to help with that, she should adopt OpenSocial.

Guild Wars 2 Dragon Jesus

As Guild Wars’ third anniversary approaches, my thoughts turn to the world-shattering Ancient Dragons I must face in Guild Wars 2. That’s when I see this at GuildWiki:

Suspected Guild Wars 2 Ancient Dragons

Okay, I know the Ancient Dragons are big, but I didn’t know they were that big. In related wiki news, Borat is President of Kazakhstan.

Avi Siwa at iBlog4

Avi Siwa at iBlog4

Avi Siwa started blogging late last year, so iBlog4 became her first blogger event. Sofie Garrucho couldn’t make it, so Avi became the only FHM cover girl in the room.

Like Avi, I was still on Blogspot during my first iBlog. This girl seems genuinely interested in online media as a tool for personal brand-building. Perhaps we’re seeing another Pinoy top blogger in the making. ;)
