Lou Bonnevie and Toto Gentica: This is Fair Use

Since Lou Bonnevie and Toto Gentica of Dimitri Productions clearly do not grasp even the most basic intellectual property concepts, allow me to demonstrate to them fair use for comment and criticism in accordance with Section 185 of the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines:

Oh, and Dimitri, don’t bother reading through the Code for a loophole you can exploit. I already checked. I am not a laywer, but to the best of my understanding, nothing in that law could possibly justify what you did to Alodia and Tricia.

    Wait a minute? Did they actually say that? You quote them for saying “this is fair use.” When, where, and in what context did they actually say that? Or are you merely putting their words in their mouth just because they are keeping silent?

    Bakit ba kasi pinapalaki mo pa yung gulo? Nakikisabay ka lang sa issue. You are just using the popularity of the people involved. Wala kang karapatang magsalita tungkol dito. Shut up!

    They clearly committed copyright infringement. That makes them intellectual property thieves. I’m just calling a spade a spade.

    yes, copyright infringement is stealing. Almost all bloggers copy pics and link them anyway. but its a shame that such an over hyped hippie events group would try to steal a pic and place it on direct promotion.

    Those concert producers need to realize that they have nothing to promote without content providers: Like the bands they’re paying to promote, the sponsoring companies whose money they’re taking and Alodia and Tricia, whose images they stole and used without permission.

    It suprises me that you have many haters Mike. What suprises more, they try to act intellectual. Condoning a crime isn’t smart, its pretty stupid. And Di naman nakikisabay si mike, its his blog. Let him post whatever he wants. I`m sure kahit sa mga haters na yan, pag ginawa yan sa mga kaibigan nyo, mag ala warpath ka rin kung sino nanakit sa kanila diba? Legally its wrong, and morally its not right. If you hate Abundo that much to be a labeled as a zero IQ individual with no manners, be my guest. Down with the crooks and the idiots who support them!
