In the Philippines, the only debit card that process online transaction is UnionBank of the Philippines. Not even the giant banks here in the Philippines allow online transactions. You may withdraw your paypal funds to some of our local banks here. However, only Unionbank can add funds to paypal account.

Hope this info helps.

Hi. This blog has been very useful to me. 3 days ago I also added my debit card to my Paypal account for, I guess 5 times. Unfortunately, I was also denied and rejected the same number of times. I am curios to know if you were being replinished by Paypal of the deductions they've made. Thank you so much.

heres what i think about paypal they will never let take us dollar out of there country you must have to give it back to them just by purchasing something online i have had that experience before i still have 19$ on my account and decided not to continue with paypal instead i use alert pay its more convinient way you can purchase things even if you are not verified as long that you have a balance in your account

Though you apparent frustration regarding the adverse side effect of your cards rejection and its incurred charges are understandable, I cant help by laugh as this has been a common reaction.

I happen to work for PayPal and the process of charging a card is a normal process. For any gateway to properly verify the card whether it be on the internet or at a store, they would have to submit a temporary charge to receive a response from the card's issuer.

Every attempt to verify the cards info will result in a respective charge. The only catch in this situation is that PayPal will run it in US dollars hence the amount that was charged.

Before we go ahead and let our emotions go, why don't we take time to understand and educate ourselves about the things that happen. Another pet peeve is the facts that bank aren't really forth coming in explaining to their clients their functionality which then eventually leads up to other to do it for them
