i like your question that you bring up, will bloggers be next.
i think they are definitely going to become targets as time goes on. i think bloggers are guerrilla journalists, at least the main-stream ones or the ones that have commentary on current events with a some-what serious tone or those that carry heavy political commentary. but as they can remain virtually anonymous, it would be hard to track them down if they post from different locales. so as they would be targets, the net cafes or wherever will become unfortunate targets politically. they could get harassed or shutdown or worse and can happen even in the “tranquil” west too.
