Happy Slip Autograph

In a recent interview, Christine mentions doing less and less of her day job thanks to her Happy Slip business. If the bids on this auction are any indication, Christine’s in the money once YouTube starts sharing revenue. Her success after that will catalyze the creation of a cottage industry in her homeland — where TV is dying, YouTube is huge, and Google sends checks.

Top Microsoft Japan Blogger Puts Mascot in Bikini

Mirai Suenaga in a Bikini

The blogosphere would be a much more interesting place, if every blog were anthropomorphized into a scantily-clad young lady. Top Microsoft Japan blogger Danny Choo puts his beloved mascot Mirai Suenaga in a bikini.

This blog of mine is an unforgiving mistress. I would imagine her in black leather. What kind of girl is your blog?

Bonus: Employee blogs aren’t the only things at Microsoft that become pretty Japanese girls. Check out the Windows XP girl, XP-tan.

Yahoo’s MyBlogLog AdSense Trojan

Steve Poland figures out the real reason Yahoo’s MyBlogLog provides Google AdSense click tracking. It provides competitive intelligence for the Yahoo Publisher Network.

Coincidentally, MyBlogLog (Yahoo) is also tracking information on Google AdSense — how many clicks Google AdSense ads are receiving (on webpages that have both MyBlogLog and AdSense installed), the ad unit size, and what webpage those clicks occurred. Yahoo doesn’t know the CPC for each of Google’s ads, but they do know the click-through rate (CTR) — and can specifically target high CTR publishers first, with their YPN offering.

No wonder Yahoo paid $10 million for the little widget. It’s a trojan covered in peanut butter. Smart.
