    But one cannot expect most Filipinos to make money by writing or managing web logs. I also have doubts about promises made by the government and big business that most Filipinos will be able to use computers and the Internet soon. Recall that this is the same country that has not even been able to provide basic education to most Filipinos for over 70 years. Even today only around 15 percent of our roads are paved!

    Finally, this reminds me of the dot-com bust.
