JC John SESE Cuneta, you are so naive. You don’t have to snort drugs to know it’s bad for your health. You don’t need to watch these shows in its entirety to know they simply suck. Lack of creativity, bad use of Filipino language, corny costume, set design and special effects. Do I need to continue? Richard Gutierrez as Lupin and you think it’s fine? It would be safe to say that Filipinos are the most unoriginal people on the face of this planet. Nearly everything in their consumer market and popular culture are cheap imitations of foreigner creations. Just imagine “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” with stupider contestants and a far less charming host. Think of all the Marvel superheroes minus the significant bad-ass factor. Picture for me, if you could you damn weaboos, how awesome your anime is minus the character development, art direction, and TITS. Filipinos have never come up with anything worthwhile on their own and very likely never will.

Hypocrisy abounds on all 7,107 of those goddamn islands. Filipinos are staunch defenders of the Catholic faith in Asia (or the Pacific Islands, whatever; Filipinos are actually taught in schools that they are asian as the Philippines lies in Southeast Asia just like Indonesia and Malaysia and Vietnam). Despite this, their Ringling Bros. remains to be one of the most corrupt and inefficient in the entire region. Even communist Vietnam has more stability in their Ringling Bros. than these stupid islanders.

Don’t even get me started on second-generation Filipinos here in the United States. (In sociology terms, I’m a 1.5 generation immigrant: born in one country, but raised with the values of another, so I’m nothing like what I’ll be describing). They immerse themselves with nigger culture and adopt their subhuman ways, degrading an already inferior race. They do try to “embrace” their Filipino culture by doing all this cultural shit like learning dances like Tinikling, but that does NOTHING to generate a true sense of appreciation, attachment, or affiinity for what it really means to be Filipino - the love of the motherland.

tl;dr - Filipinos are intellectually unimaginative, morally inconsistent and/or bankrupt, and fail at their own culture.

The thing is people stray off the topic and its easy when we resort to hurling insults regarding the big 2 TV stations. Thank god I support neither because parang kelangan may kampihan eh. But fact is that GMA has SHOWN via costume design and concepts that they try HARD to imitate to innovate, but they steal concepts too. I’ll be honest the Lupin is kinda stupid regardless, even if he was suppose to be the FIRST Lupin (as opposed to Lupin the 3rd). It still had too much of the pinoy drama connection. Super Twins … blatant there unless you live under a rock, or in which cases you only view pinoy tv. As of Zaido, c’mon. Anyone who remember watching Shaider knows that 80’s stuff kicks ass whatever Team D. Z. and associates can put out. Escapism my arse. I wouldn’t want to escape in that world of Zaido. At least take me to Jettman or those super sentai of the late 80’s/early 90’s.

Which only proves those who lived through those great times which pinoy TV picked up good stuff from Japan had it great.

You know what the problem is, people (and I’m stressing this to both Mr. Janshin and Sir Takesis), why we cannot compromise and understand each other on issues? It’s that we cannot control ourselves to do the snide remarks when we cannot agree on topics. I know that’s the stuff that makes blog comments an enjoying read, but please, if we are really planning to be intellectual critics, let us be civil to both sides. Yes, I have been guilty throwing to the Kapuso fanatics the names “second-rated lifeform” and “worse than cuckoos”, but then again, how could we show the truth that Shaider is way superior (which is an understatement) than the lameshit garbage (again anunderstatement) that is Zaido if we can’t take each other’s frame of minds?
