Filipina Gamer Babe Cosplays Gothloli
Filipina gamer-blogger-cosplayer babe Alodia Gosiengfiao cosplays a gothloli for a Christmas photoshoot with her friend Tricia Gosingtian. Tim Burton would approve.

Unlike most bloggers, she actually got more traffic on Christmas Day. The Force is strong with this one.

Oh look, Mike’s stealing more of Alodia’s pictures again so that he’ll have more hits on is stupid blog because there’s a “gamer-blogger-cosplayer babe” in it!
agree! pwede ka mademanda jan…pasalamat ka mabaet si atedjie…oh d lang xa…the photographer rin! get a life
Mike I wish you would have shared the picture last with IKU. The angle is great.
And to the comment above, go fuck yourself you douche bag. Rude much?
Stealing pictures even though Alodia openly stated that she never agreed to allow Mike to use her photos is rude. A rude person deserves rude treatment.
So that means I don’t care that you think I’m a douche bag, Yoshiko. ^_^
Stealing… again??… you should’ve asked Alodia before using her pics and Slumberdoll’s or Ms. Tricia’s works… I think this would be a great New Year’s Resolution.. “To ask permission.. ..specially on the devart community”
Hi, Mike! This is Alodia (Owner of the pics). I hope you should’ve asked my permission first as well as the photographer’s before posting these pics here in your blog..^^ A little credit please to the original source and the photographer, if ever..
Of course, Alodia. As you can see, I’ve linked back to your deviantART entry in the first sentence. Stats show it’s turning out to be a very popular outbound link.
You’ll also notice that I’ve placed your name in the anchor text of the link and the alternate text of the images, making it clear to searchbots that you should get credit in search results for this photoshoot. To further streamline the clickstream to attribution, I’m now doing the same for Tricia. Hope both your pageviews rise once the Googlebot indexes this page, and passes some of my Googlejuice to both of you.
I see serious potential in you as an online communicator, Alodia. I will support that potential with every technique I know.
hi alodia, jepoy here. I designed the layout of your fans club’s blog.
Anyway, there’s nothing wrong with this post. Mike did link to your site back (consider this as an informal credit) and posted the exact pictures from your site without any alterations. I know you understand that once you posted your pictures on the internet, anyone can repost them on their websites. And considering the celebrity status you have, you’ve got to get used to this kind of “media” exposure.
At least Mike linked back to your site, unlike other internet maggots who alters pictures and repost them on their sites as their own
@others (i cannot see your names sorry) - Mike can only be sued if he sells this pictures :~)
Mike, If you did go and ask for permission to show the pictures here, Alodia wouldnt be asking you to do so.
Please dont cover up with topic switching and jargon.
and Jepoy, an “informal credit” is exactly what it is: Informal.
Celebrity status doesnt mean people can do whatever specially when the “celebrity” concerned feels she’s being wronged.
Alodia reacted negatively so there must be something amiss here, huh?
From the deviantART Terms of Service, Section 2.16:
Please note that when you upload Content, you allow third parties to copy, distribute and display your Content.
But still permission wasnt asked from the person directly? how impersonal.
If you really cared for the infosharing,
a private message to the person would have nipped all of this in the bud woudnt it?
It’s as if Alodia’s so difficult to send a message to.
Guys, Engadget took 2 of my photos and reposted them on their website, not even a single credit to my name was written. I could have burst in anger on their blog but I didn’t. They did post a linkback to my blog, the most precious token a website/blog owner could get.
Don’t you know that I saw the caramel dance performed by Alodia on some Chinese guy’s blog without any links to Alodia’s site? And a lot might be posting the videos on their respective websites or blogs without even proper links or credit.
This is the internet guys, if you don’t want others to use your pictures, restrict or password protect them, put a site watermark on your videos or pictures. But if you can’t there’s no stopping anyone on reposting your videos or pictures wherever they like. As long as they’re linking back to your site or mentioning your name/site as credits, and not altering the pictures, etc. your pictures and videos will be fine. But if someone alters or even sell these pictures, that’s a different story that can be dealt in court.
Besides, this site has a Google PageRank of 5 that would made everyone wanting a linkback from Mike.
Your blog is a PageRank 4, Jepoy. After that Engadget feature, people must be banging down your door.
Jepoy, the conversation isnt about you, it’s about Alodia.
and i wasnt asking about how timidly you reacted to having your photos reposted in another site.
it’s about how Alodia wants permission asked from her first.
that point wasnt addressed at all.
LOL. Mike, you have to give ‘em some iodized salt and reading lessons.
BTW, i think the easy ip 2 country flags plugin is the one messing the comments.
to the noname nick:
mike is just promoting alodia, be thankful he is admiring alodia’s picture, and he is not stealing the picture because he had given the source of the pic, he didn’t say he took the picture or something, he didn’t even delete the watermark.
Jepoy: Thanks for the tip. I’ll look at the plugin code.
Mmm. Iodized salt.
Karlopogi: Alodia earned that attention by unleashing her inner geek. Models pitch me all the time to be featured in the Babes category of this blog; I suggest they do something remarkable like that to get here.
Polidread: As explicitly stated in the deviantART Terms of Service, the very act of uploading content to that service gives third parties permission to copy, distribute, and display said content.
Oh, and about you calling Jepoy “timid”: timid bloggers don’t get link love from the #4 top blog in the world.
Look guys, I am not siding with anyone or something but posting something on the net automatically makes the material public property. Mike did credit Alodia and Tricia for the pics and i can’t seem to determine what is wrong with this article. Aren’t you guys just over reacting?
I love the pics BTW
Same here, Siops. This girl could someday give Shocotan a run for her money.
Hello there. I’m Tricia, the photographer who took Edjie’s photographs. Hope you informed us that you were going to post our pictures here in your blog. But yeah, I’m not going to make a big deal out of this because you did credit us (’cept you didn’t ask permission in the first place). ^_^
P.S. You removed the black borders of the second and fourth picture where I put my watermark.
P.P.S. Wish you didn’t crop it off.
P.P.P.S. Thanks~!
P.P.P.P.S. Hope you include me in this post’s tags too.
@ Mike : Thanks for editing your post(adding credits to Tricia). Well, I get your point, but then again, it would be great to ask permission first, so we’d know that your posting it in your site. That way we could prolly link back to this post too, ayt?
@ Siopao : Mike already edited his post before you got to read it, most prolly..XD
@ polidread : Thanks!
Yup, asking permission from the real owner of the pics is great appreciated. Not only that it would clear it off misunderstandings. We could also let others know about it..:)
@ Jepoy : Hi, thanks for the layout! I just got surprised when I saw this. I mean, knowing about it from other people doesn’t sound as good as supposedly learning about it from the owner of this blog. So permission would be really good.. It’s not that hard isn’t it? A simple 3-second-post in my DA tagboard wouldn’t hurt much, ayt?
@ karlopogi : Please refer to Tricia’s post..:)
well at least Mike is more updated than the AFC Management hehehe
As explicitly stated in the deviantART Terms of Service, the very act of uploading content to that service gives third parties permission to copy, distribute, and display said content.
sure that’s valid, but in this case, the Owners (Alodia and Tricia) wanted a personal approach to getting permission. You can read it up on her post. and now that you’ve been informed, maybe you can do this on your next Alodia-based post.
Read up on Alodia’s previous words and digest it well so you won’t have to pass out gas all the time.
Polidread: That’s funny, the deviantART Terms of Service do not mention any opt-out to that provision.
Oh, and those Terms of Service are more than just “valid”. They form a legally binding contract with anyone who uses that Service.
Alodia: Sure, I’d appreciate the link.
Tricia: Edited and tagged. Keep up the good work!
Siops: That’s the miracle of RSS. Anyone can easily stay updated on any topic, no matter how niche.
sometimes personal matters bend the truth
well said, mister fanboy.
[...] After cosplaying a gothloli for Christmas, Filipina gamer-blogger-cosplayer babe Alodia Gosiengfiao greets the New Year as a Jpop star and a rocking schoolgirl in these photos by Tricia Gosingtian. Rock on. [...]
@polidread
actually, what I’m referring to ARE the fanboys. They are so much into Alodia that they don’t know what’s right and what’s wrong anymore. Sucking up is good sometimes, but in what distance do we have to take just to be “friends” with Alodia
siops, like umm.. hmmm.. nevermind. :~)
Siopao: LOLzzzz…
